For those of you who used it, the Harvard Referencing Generator would simply create a reference for you after you had inputted the relevant information.  However in the time since it was created, technology has caught up with and overtaken our generator.

Now there is a range of online reference management tools that will not only generate references but much more, for example they can:

  • create your reference list/bibliography
  • allow you to store your lists for each of your assignments
  • locate references via ISBN/URL/DOI.

In place of the generator Library Services advises that you use Mendeley as it supports all the referencing styles used at Worcester.  Think of them as one-stop-shops for all your referencing needs.

We are aware undergraduates may also use RefMe. As of 28 February, RefMe will become Cite Them Right and have reduced functionality.
