The Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants were drafted by an expert panel led by Kate Dethridge, which was commissioned by the Department for Education (DfE). The DfE chose not to publish them, but they granted permission for them to be published by other interested parties. More information about this is available on the NAHT website, and the standards themselves can be downloaded from this webpage (PDF).
