Firstly, make sure you’re familiar with the requirements of the REF 2021 open access policy and if you had funding for your research, read the funder’s policy to check their requirements.

Search for your preferred journal on SHERPA RoMEO. This will tell you which version of your article can be uploaded into WRaP and it is recommended that you check if your preferred journal will meet the policy and any funder requirements as early in the process as is practical.

When the article has been peer reviewed and accepted, deposit a copy in WRaP, within 3 months of the acceptance date,
