An interactive map of the Hive is available online. To find your subject, choose University/Public Library, then your subject.

Books on Level 3 are arranged in Dewey Decimal order, with the 000s starting to the right of the lifts, then going around the building clockwise, ending with the 900s in the far corner nearest the askalibrarian desk. Fiction is between the askalibrarian desk and the 000s.

Signs on the end of each shelf identify which range of numbers are shelved there.

To find the classmark number for your subject area, search Library Search for a book and note the number i.e. 362.1024/SMI or 796.4/JON.

More information about the Dewey Decimal system is available online.
