In an APA reference, your doi (Digital Object Identifier) should be formatted as in the example below:

Pederson, P.B., & Pope, M. (2010). Inclusive cultural empathy for successful global leadership. American
Psychologist, 65
(8), 841-854. doi:10.1037/0003-066X.65.8.841

It should not include any prefix such as "http://doi.org"

If you are using Mendeley, you may want to download a new version of the APA style which has corrected the doi prefix. Where you select your style in the referencing tab in MS Word, click "more styles", and then "get more styles". Then, paste this url into your "download style" box: https://csl.mendeley.com/styles/454907231/CORRECTDOI
