To update your resource list:

  • Go to Resource Lists, log in and search for your lists by module code.  Make sure you are updating the correct year.  Your list for the year you want may be in draft.  You will need to login in order to see draft lists.
  • If the list you want to edit is not already in MyLists, you can add it using the button towards the top on the right.
  • Delete any items you no longer need.  Use the three dots to the right of the item you wish to delete, and select delete.
  • Add new resources.  To add resources you will need to the Talis Aspire bookmarking extension installed.  You can add anything you find online by bookmarking it using the the bookmarking extension.  Bookmark resources you find via Library Search and add them to your resource list. You can also  bookmark webpages, podcasts, You Tube videos, open access articles and more.  You could consider adding a recording from Box of Broadcasts (on demand TV), or Digital Theatre Plus.  To add a book that Library Services doesn't currently have, bookmark it from Amazon and add the bookmark to your list.  If you require the new edition of a book currently on your list, bookmark the new edition from Amazon and add the bookmark to your list.
  • If you have added any resources that Library Services doesn't currently have, send your list for review.  You can find the Request Review option under the Edit drop down menu.
  • Finally publish the list so that your students can see it.  If you are updating your list for the new academic year you will also need to link to your list from your Blackboard module and update any links in your module guide.

When planning your lists, please try to make use of existing resources, where possible, and remember to indicate which resources are Essential for students. This will help us to ensure we have the right access to materials.

More information about updating resource lists is available on the Library Services website.  Here you can find information about structuring your list, asking Library Services to digitise text from a  print book and add it to your list, changing the list owner and more.
