University of Worcester staff and students can find a wide range of statistics relevant to all subjects taught at the University via Statista. The Statista database includes UK and international statistics relating to health, education, sport, crime, society, the arts and humanities, economics, historical data (e.g. relating to the American Civil War) plus market intelligence. The daily data section in Statista provides statistics and infographics relating to topics currently in the news.
In the UK the Office for National Statistics (ONS) provides the bedrock of statistical data for decision making by the government and others in areas such as heath, education, welfare, crime and justice, innovation and the economy. The ONS is government funded but is independent from government. Much ONS data can be found via Statista and you may find searching Statista the easiest way to search for ONS data. For topics not included in Statista you could search the ONS directly or try a site search on Google.
For example, try Googling "county lines" site:ons.gov.uk

Further advice on finding subject specific sources of statistics and data can be found on the Library Services subject guide for your academic discipline.
