UW students can now book group study spaces up to 48 hours in advance, and there is no charge. You can book any of the spaces for up to 2 hours at a time.

The Hive has five light, bright meeting rooms that can be booked by students for group study.  The rooms are ideal for groups of between four and fifteen people.  All of them have a whiteboard and a pinboard, some have 42" mobile screens with PC input and some have Smart Screens with PC input.

To book a meeting room simply complete the room booking form on the Hive webpage and return it to

If you would like to book a shared study table or a Nook instead, then just email with your request. Remember to specify what type of space you would like to book; a shared study table (table 1, Level 0) or Nook.

Please don't forget to include your student number at the time of booking.

An email confirming your booking will be sent to you by The Hive Admin Team along with a booking reference number and details of the space you have been allocated

At certain times of the year, all meeting rooms in The Hive are reserved for the use of UW students only. This tends to be when assignments are due; January and April.

Details can be found on our blog.
